Toni Webb Washington

Founder/Executive Director

Executive Director and Founder of THE DANCE CAPITAL, Toni Webb Washington, has over fifteen years of dance experience in various areas of performance, teaching, and management. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from the University of Michigan, while training in dance there and performing with a university dance company at various campus and statewide events. Since college, Toni has gained professional corporate experience in Marketing and Sales. She currently owns Michigan-based corporation, TONI’S DANCE COMPANY, INC. where she manages four performing dance teams; organizes and facilitates dance concerts, workshops, competitions and conventions; and serves as a talent agent to over twenty professional dancers who specialize in modern, hip hop, and theatrical dance. Toni has worked with renowned clients and various large-scale industrials including: BMW for the North American International Auto Show, Shanghai Events for the American Hip Hop Tour of China, Superbowl XL, World Sumo League International Tour, the And 1 Mix Tape National Tour, and many more. Toni was recently recognized by the National Association for Professional Women and inducted in 2009. Mrs. Jennifer A. Peeples

Artistic Director

Artistic Director of THE DANCE CAPITAL, Jennifer Peeples, has over ten years of dance experience in various areas of performance, competition, choreography and instruction. Ms. Jennifer earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Michigan State University, while dancing there with a university dance company that performed at various campus events. Since college, Jennifer has danced professionally as a Lead Choreographer of TONI’S DANCE COMPANY, INC. where she has been selected year after year for such high honors as “Choreographer of the Year” in 2006 and 2007, as well as “Dancer of the Year” in 2007. Ms. Jennifer has performed and toured with music artists such as K Jon, and has has choreographed for several industrials in Atlanta, Toledo and Detroit. In 2009, Jennifer was booked as Lead Choreographer and Dancer for a tour in Shanghai, China in Spring 2010. Ms. Jennifer gives back through dance by volunteering as Co-Director of the pomerette dance team at her alma mater, Cass Technical High School. She also serves as Director of the dance ministry at her church. Jennifer’s professional dance experience and leadership qualities serve her well with her position as Artistic Director and Lead Instructor at THE DANCE CAPITAL.
